Terms of Service
Welcome to Torah Blitz ("Torah Blitz", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms govern access to and use of our website (torahblitz.com), mobile applications for iOS and Android (the "App"), and educational game platform (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, purchasing, upgrading, or using the Service — whether through a web browser or our App — you agree to these Terms.
SMS / Text Message Consent (Account Verification)
Program: Torah Blitz sends automated one-time passcodes (OTP) and account-security text messages to the mobile number on your account, to help you sign in and protect your account.
How you opt in: You consent to receive these text messages when you provide your mobile phone number during account sign-up, login, or verification on torahblitz.com or in the Torah Blitz app and request a verification code. Providing your mobile number is voluntary, and consent is not a condition of any purchase.
- Message types: one-time passcodes (OTP) and account-verification / security notifications only. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
- Message frequency: varies — a message is sent only when you request a code or when an account action requires verification.
- Cost: Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- Opt out: Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You may also simply stop requesting codes.
- Help: Reply HELP, or email admin@torahblitz.com, for assistance.
- Privacy: Your mobile number and opt-in consent are used only to deliver these messages and are never sold. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Messages are delivered through our SMS provider (Twilio) solely to send them. See our Privacy Policy.
Sample message: “This is an automatic message from Torah Blitz. We will never call and ask you for these numbers. Your OTP is ______.”
2. Educational Disclaimer
Torah Blitz is an educational platform for children, supervised by parents or guardians. We strive for accuracy, but educational content may contain errors or omissions. The Service is provided for educational purposes only.
You agree that we are not responsible for educational outcomes, academic performance, or how content is interpreted or applied.
3. Eligibility & Parent Responsibility
Only an adult (parent/legal guardian or otherwise legally able to contract) may create an account and purchase a subscription. Children may use the Service only under adult supervision and within the account created by an adult.
The adult account holder is responsible for all activity under the account, including child profiles, gameplay, settings, purchases, upgrades, and subscription changes.
4. Accounts, Passwords & PIN
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and (if enabled) any player PIN. Do not share parent passwords with children. If a device uses password auto-fill, you remain responsible for safeguarding access.
Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
5. Subscriptions & Billing
Plans may include Single Player, Family, and Family+. Subscriptions are billed annually unless otherwise stated. Subscriptions typically renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.
- Trials: If a trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.
- Processor: Payments are processed by Stripe (or another authorized processor). We do not store credit card details.
- Refunds: Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once charged. Canceling stops future charges.
- Renewal Notices: We may send renewal reminders, but you are responsible for monitoring renewal dates.
6. Virtual Items, Game Features & Scratch-Off Cards
The Service may include virtual items and gameplay features such as: the Perkolating Wheel, perks (e.g., Pause, Super Pause, Hint, Super Hint, Bonus, Double Bonus, Shield, Streak Saver, Slow Motion, Switcharoo), achievements, scores, and progress tracking.
- Virtual items have no cash value and are not redeemable for money.
- Virtual items are non-transferable and may not be sold or exchanged.
- We may modify, balance, replace, or discontinue virtual items or features for educational, operational, or security reasons.
Scratch-Off Cards & Promotional Codes. From time to time we distribute physical scratch-off cards (and similar promotional codes) that a player may redeem in the Service for a randomly-assigned reward. A reward may be virtual (such as Blitz Coins, wheel spins, or perks) or a physical prize (which is fulfilled manually after verification).
- Odds of winning any prize: approximately 50% (1 in 2).
- Odds of winning a physical prize (including sports games): approximately 1 in 100.
- Odds are approximate and may vary by batch and promotion, depending on how many prizes are placed in a given run of cards.
- Each code is single-use and is limited to one redemption per family; a valid, active paid account may be required to redeem. Cards and prizes have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are not exchangeable for money. No purchase of a card is necessary to use the Service. Void where prohibited.
- Winning notification & fulfillment. When a winning code is redeemed we are notified automatically, and we will contact the parent/guardian on the account to arrange delivery of any physical prize. Physical prizes are provided only to the adult account holder, who is responsible for receiving the prize and for supervising the child.
- No guaranteed value. Prizes are provided "AS IS," with no warranty and no guaranteed, promised, or stated retail or monetary value. Prize descriptions and images are illustrative only.
- Substitutions. We reserve the right to change, substitute, modify, cancel, or discontinue any prize at any time and for any reason, including substituting a prize of comparable or lesser value.
Assumption of Risk & Release (Physical Prizes). Physical prizes may include items that carry inherent risks (for example, drones, balls or sports equipment, or tickets to events and venues). By accepting a prize on behalf of a child, the parent/guardian acknowledges and assumes all such risks and agrees that receipt and use of the prize is at their own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the parent/guardian agrees to release, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Torah Blitz and its owners, affiliates, and staff from any and all claims, demands, injuries, losses, damages, costs, or liabilities of any kind arising out of or relating to a prize or its receipt, possession, transport, or use — including personal injury, property damage, or attendance at any event or venue. The parent/guardian is solely responsible for supervising the child and for ensuring any prize is age-appropriate and used safely. This paragraph supplements, and does not limit, Section 12 (Limitation of Liability).
7. Public Display & Leaderboards (Parent Opt-In)
If the parent/guardian explicitly enables public display, we may show limited player information on the website or leaderboard pages, such as player name (or first name + last initial), profile photo, achievements, score, and school/yeshiva.
Parents can disable public display at any time. We will never publicly post private contact details (such as email, phone, or address).
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including software, design, questions, mechanics, graphics, logos, perks, and achievements, is owned by Torah Blitz and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the Service for non-commercial educational purposes.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract source code or proprietary content.
9. Acceptable Use
- No hacking, reverse engineering, botting, scraping, or exploitation.
- No attempts to bypass account limits, payment requirements, or security.
- No abuse, interference, or disruption of the Service.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe there is fraud, abuse, security risk, or a violation of these Terms. Termination does not eliminate charges already incurred.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free content, or specific outcomes. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some provisions may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Torah Blitz is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of progress, or service interruptions.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months.
13. Dispute Resolution (Option C)
Primary: Any dispute arising from or relating to the Service or these Terms will be submitted to binding arbitration before the Beis Din of America (New York).
Fallback: If Beis Din of America is unavailable or declines jurisdiction, the dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration in New York under American Arbitration Association (AAA) rules.
You agree to bring claims only on an individual basis and waive class actions and jury trials to the extent permitted by law.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
